Leave a gift in your Will
Why leave a gift in your Will?
A gift in your Will can make a powerful impact for the future care we provide to our community and the development of Mary Ann for generations to come.
Hospice care is free at the point of use, but, unlike the NHS, it is not fully state funded. While Mary Ann receives some government funding, around three quarters is raised through donations, grants, our retail operation and the support of our local community.
In addition, income through Gifts in Wills left by generous donors, with rising costs and growing demand for hospice services, are more important to us than ever.
A gift in your Will can help to ensure Mary Ann continues to offer compassionate, free care and support to people impacted by life limiting illness each year, now and into the future.
How to leave a gift in your Will
To leave a gift in your Will, your solicitor needs to use our full name “Mary Ann Evans Hospice”, our registered charity number: 1014800 and our registered address: Mary Ann Evans Hospice, Eliot Way, Nuneaton, CV10 7QL
Thank you! Your generous gift will help us continue to support over 2,000 patients and their loved ones each year.
Andy's story
Told by his wife, Tanya.
I had been Andy’s only carer prior to Mary Ann, which was overwhelming under the changing circumstances of Andy’s health. The Mary Ann Family Support and Bereavement Team rang me to provide their support, and pre-grief counselling was provided.
The hospice team were very considerate in our home with all the little touches which were important to Andy, such as ensuring his hair was how he liked it, and shaving him at his request so that he felt fresh and clean.
Even on the morning of Andy’s final day, he was gently bathed, carefully and caringly. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The team were always at the end of a phone call or text, and the Rapid Response team at Mary Ann would answer any queries we had.
Andy’s pain was managed well by the diligent team during the days and nights that it was critically needed. We never felt totally alone. Andy was able to die peacefully, with his loved ones, at home.
How a gift in your Will helps to fund a difference to your loved ones.

Could fund 30 hours of support from a Rapid Response nurse

Could fund 60 pre & post Bereavement group sessions for both patients & their families
