Honouring 35 Years

“Stand with us today, to secure local care tomorrow.”

Today, Mary Ann Evans Hospice is facing one of the most significant challenges in our history. Rising costs and reduced funding are placing immense pressure on our ability to deliver the vital care our community depends on. Without urgent support, the services that local people have relied on for 35 years are at risk.

In 2026, we mark 35 years since the hospice was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal on 14 January 1991. For more than three decades, we have been there at life’s most difficult moments – providing compassionate, palliative, and end-of-life care and bereavement support for patients and their families, with dignity, comfort, and peace.

Every day, people in our community need us – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And we cannot be there for them without you.

With your support, Mary Ann Evans Hospice will continue to care for local families for the next 35 years and beyond. You can help us protect and grow our vital Community Hospice Services, reaching more people when they need us most.
